The dress is bias cut, but the dress is cut in 4 pieces, so you don't get the full benefit of that style, which is meant to drape to the figure because the seams don't flex. The product description said the dress would have pockets. It does not have pockets, and the seams are puckered.
I ordered the striped pattern. IT DOES NOT HAVE POCKETS AS DESCRIBED. Banana Republic quality has gone downhill in a major way. The seams are also bunched and does not lay on the body well.

I am 65, 5'7" 148lb and am a little thick in the waist but the size 12 dress fits close but not tight, then drapes out beautifully as it flares. Very flattering if you have a more straight body. Quality is very good and should last a long time.

I'm 5"3 and wear about a size 12/14 which in BR usually mean 18/20, this dress hit entirely wrong on me as an XXL, definitely a thoughtless design issue with scaling. I do really wish brands with the reach of BR would do their larger sizes in petite too, every fat woman is (tragically) not a Valkyerie.

This dress was very disappointing. The dress is bias cut, but the dress is cut in 4 pieces, so you don't get the full benefit of that style, which is meant to drape to the figure because the seams don't flex. It was not as long as the images show (came to my lower calf, not ankle, and I am 5'8) and there is practically no hem, so you can't let it out. The lining only covers the bust, rather than the full body. The one kudos I will give is it is finished with French seams. Just overall not the quality I expect for the price.
I loved the white dress… however only the bust area is lined… from the bust down is COMPLETELY SEE THROUGH- absolutely ridiculous. What is this company thinking this season with expensive skirts and dresses unlined. Returned.

Why?, BP? Why only line the bust? In ivory, the rest of this dress is COMPLETELY SEE-THROUGH, and the lined top exacerbates the effect. When my order arrived, I slipped into nude-hued panties and bra to try this dress on. In a no-daylight bathroom environment, I could completely see my undies through this dress. RETURNING.
