From the moment this dress appeared online I was both in love and confused. The black one looks so chic, the stripes... well, I think the other reviewer said it best: It looks like PJs - like something some televised version of Scrooge wears during his dream adventures. Now that I have the black o...ne, I can confirm it does look very chic in black. It IS ginormous, but that's part of what makes it look so chick when cinched at the waist. Part of my problem with the stripes is that I don't like how the waist tie interrupts the stripes that are already interrupted in the front... maybe if I got a different belt for it altogether.... I'm passing on it for now - if I did get it, I think I'd size down even more to an S and not belt it, but I'm not convinced that would be a winner look, either. In terms of sizing I'm either L or XL depending on style (small waist compared to my 38DD bust) - most of my BR dresses are L, but I Ianded on M for this style in black.
I wanted to love this dress, the vision is cute but dress didn't quite execute. I sized down and it was still beyond too big and the front of the dress reminded me of a man's nightshirt on "Little House on the Prarie"

I am 5'3 weigh 125 lb and I'm a 34 b. I ordered an extra small based on other reviews and I was just swimming in stripes. Whoever designed this needs to be locked up.

Ordered black at first and this made me look like a catholic priest (5'5" 140lbs and large chested) BUT reordered in the green stripe and absolutely love. The colour is more a mossy brown-green, fabric isn't see through. Very well made and well designed dress for a classic silhouette. High-low hem was a little long on me in the back so I took it to a tailor to get it brought up a few inches to suit my petite frame. Thank you BR for making great dresses!!

I don't understand this dress. Many heavy buttons and a heavy belt weigh the whole thing down.

Love the details. I'm 5 feet tall and curvy. The Small Petite was still a bit too big. The XS Petite became available so I ordered it hoping that it will fit better.

This dress is designed with such beautiful details! It runs big so go one size smaller.

Feel like a million in this dress! The design, material, comfort=panache! Yes, you probably have to size down I don't look at sizes and just hold things up and go from what I see and then try things on. Wore this recently to travel with a flax linen blend, boyfriend blazer and received several compliments. Compliments aside, I felt fabulous

I loved this dress and ordered a small petite, but I had to return it because it ran so big. The sleeves went to my finger tips.

It's a unique dress in the stripe print and I love all the details. It does run one size large I think but it depends on how much oversized you like. One size down from my normal works for me. I'm 5'11 140 and got XS #sweepstakes

I just had this delivered and I like it! I find it true to size. I am 5'4, 220lbs. The length comes down to the bottom of my ankles in the back and the top in the front. The side slit opens to upper calf/knee. It is definitely on the baggy side but the belt eliminates that. The buttons on the chest and side are also covered underneath by fabric so there's no accidental "see through"/gaping issue that happens with other dresses with buttons. I think it'll be a great spring/summer dress!
