I'm 50, aging athletic pear-shaped body which means my butt is bigger than I'd like it to be. I ordered the 10 and 12, and oddly, the 12 slides down enough that the back of the skirt outlines my butt more than I'd like. The 10, I think, fits better in the back because the transition piece hits hig...her and the draping then starts sooner. That said, the front is a bit too tight, accentuating my middle aged mom-pouch. Regardless of size, the frontal view and length is great, and the slit is a non-issue. It's so discrete, and long, that it doesn't reveal too much 50-year old mom-thigh. Overall, if I were 20-40 and had a smaller butt, this is definitely one of the cutest skirts I've seen in a long time, and I high recommend it. For those us going through another unwanted body transition, I'm not sure. It will depend on where you put your weight, and how much curve you like to highlight. I'm a traditional minimalist, so I don't like tight clothing. I'm striving for a fit not unlike the way the model wears it - a straight drop.
I bought a few skirts during Friends and Family This was my least favorite Came very wrinkled and color was not as bright as photo

I am 5'4 and 118lbs. I got a 2 in the snake eye yellow. I had to stalk the website until one came back into stock. It fits perfectly right under my navel. The length is more tea length on me than midi but looks fine. I do carry my weight in my hips and thighs, but I think the skirt is flattering since the waist is fitted and smooth. I love the color, the pockets and the fabric. I do not think the slits are too high, but I have shorter legs and when I walk in it, there is enough material that my leg is not exposed as much as a straight skirt with a side slit. It washed well. I washed it on cold and air dried. It was a lot to iron and wrinkles a bit when worn, but due to the artsy style, the wrinkles do not look like you just rolled out of bed in it. This is such a nice change instead of a basic long slip skirt that seems to be the only option for people wanting a longer skirt. I cannot wait to wear it over and over.

Finally a flattering, flat front skirt! No bulk on the waist, which is KEY for my changing 48-year-old, perimenopause body. This skirt is stylish, fun, and flattering. Please make more styles for women 40+ with changing bodies (meaning, no bulky elastic waists, pleats, or cinched waists. Flat front with little embellishment is incredibly flattering for us.) I'm 5'7" and 146lbs. I have a high waist and typically size up so I can wear things below my natural waist. I bought the size 10 and it fits perfectly. Make this again in more colors!!!

Bizarre hiking material. Would have been a wonderful fit, but the material makes this unwearable in an office setting. #sweepstakes

gap.comI was excited about receiving this skirt in black, however, it wasn't as well executed as it looks in the pictures. Yes, it's unique, the fabric has a slight grid pattern and even the slits weren't that bad. It's just not that great of a shape when it's on and honestly, I think this skirt would have been much better if it had been made with a more flowy fabric, instead of the stiff cotton that it is made with. It felt like I was trying on part of a parachute and I looked frumpy. For reference, I am 5'8, 140lbs and ordered the 6, the size was fine.

Happened upon this in store. Seeing it in person I noticed the subtle grid pattern, nice lightweight fabric, and drape. The skirt is very flattering on and runs true to size. Hope more colours will be released.
