These jeans are beautiful and very flattering. They fit well, drape nicely, and look very stylish. The wide-leg palazzo cut makes my figure look slimmer while still emphasizing curves in a very elegant way. I also really appreciate how the high-rise waist was designed. The very top part with the bel...t loops slightly widens instead of staying completely straight and tight, so it doesn't dig into your stomach when sitting. Now, about sizing — Banana Republic's size guide is very misleading, especially if you are buying their jeans for the first time. My measurements are 79 cm waist and 102 cm hips, and according to the size chart, I ordered size 30 and size 29 to compare and choose. Guess what? They both were big! 30 was huge on me and was literally falling off. 29 was still too big. So I had to return them and order size 28, and it ended up fitting perfectly. So my advice: measure yourself, check the size chart, and then consider going down about two sizes if you are unfamiliar with Banana Republic denim sizing. As for their length, I'm 5'10", and the regular length was perfect on me. Barefoot, the jeans lightly touch the floor, so they work well with flats and probably with a low heel too. I also tried the long version, and it was too long. For my height, it would only work with high heels, or it may be better suited for someone around 6 feet tall or taller. Overall, I'm very happy with this piece!
I was so excited to buy these. I thought I'd found a replacement for the BR puddle jeans, that seem to no longer be sold. Boy, was I disappointed! These are very large at the bottom. A good 4" more than your original puddle jeans. In my excitement I purchased all three colors. I am keeping the ecru ...because I can live with them. They fit better than the other two pair. A little large but they'd do. They all seem to run a bit large so buyer beware. You might want to size down…it's borderline at the waist. A bit loose. I think I'd size down an inch. The rest of the pant is much larger. I'm returning the denim because they have a "cheap" denim look. I washed the ecru pair and I would warn that they came out looking kind of like the old painters pants we used to wear…very wrinkly. You might get away with the wrinkles in darker denim but I will certsi have tiron these. Something I rarely do with my jeans when hung up immediately. Banana Republic, bring back your puddle jeans pleeeeze!!!

Very Chic and stylish. I'm using these jeans for work styled with a blazer because they look very fashionable. It's soft enough but also have a shape. It's slightly long even though I'm tall but just a kitten heel works with it.

They are described as ecru, which the fabric definitely is; but, the pants photographed look lighter and more cream in the picture. I wish it was possible for more accuracy between the photos and the actual clothing.

I'm five foot and I have to get most of my jeans altered so no bid deal there. Those jeans are fabulous quality and they look great. I bought 4 pair 2 to wear with flats and two to wear with heels. You will love them. The denim color is not consistent but the ecru is consistent with both pairs of my jeans. I typically wear a size 4/27 I went phone size, but the jeans stretch so you might be ok with your regular size.
