I bought this dress for a black-tie wedding. I didn't want a dress that clung to my body like spandex, but it had to flatter my figure. I also wanted to be able to move freely, and this dress fit the bill. It is very comfortable. I was also very happy with the length. It fell at my ankles. The... dress is made of silk so you must expect it to be thin and lightweight. However, it is a solid silk dress. Durable. And it draped nicely. Silk is not for everyone. I am 135 pounds, 5' 4" tall and bought a size 4. It fit me perfectly.
The dress overall is nice however it is a very thin, lightweight silk… not a luxurious silk. The style is fine, not a big fan of the tie in the back and I sized up because I have a curvy figure. I am 5'6" and it hits slightly above my ankles. I am150lbs and while it fits just right around my hips.. ...it is loose around my waist area.

Stunning dress and the length was perfect as a 5'4 woman. I got a size 10 as size 8 was out stock and it ended up being perfect fit especially around the waist. It fits like the model with the waist draping. I'm 145lbs and pretty average chest/waist/hip ratios. This is a no bra dress and I think it might be too tight for bustier ladies as I feel comfortable in it and wear 34DDD/34F bra. Material is stunning, meant to be very sexy and slip like. Cannot wait to wear it.

Definitely need to size up if you want a more flowy fit and the material is thin and not lined but it gives it a more easy casual use for it. Such a steal for cheap price!!

This silk dress is a dream in black. Very elegant. Wrinkles from shipment melted away with a quick steam. Wish it was a little bit easier to get in and out of the dress but otherwise it is great. Sits nicely on the body and accentuates figure.

Quality is not what I expected from Banana republic. The dress is very thin, looks cheap like more of a costume than an actual dress. It's not worth even for discounted price. Too bad I can't return. So disappointed.

This dress is absolutely stunning. It shows the curves so well. True to size. In have a curvy body with a small chest. 5.5 for 130pounds. Size 6 was perfect!
