The reviews I read before purchasing had made me really nervous due to complaints about the nature of the material (being wrinkly), sizing concerns and the Grecian twist situation throwing people off.. the dress was perfect ya'll. It just needs a good steam, and the sizing is true to size. I'm 5,4, ...almost 5'5, fluctuating between 170-80 pounds and the 12 fit me perfectly. I ordered the red, and will be getting the plum as well. Looks very elevated and received compliments all night.
I bought this dress on sale, ( I think it's not returnable) it was supposed to be for a special occasion, I'm away from home. I love the video of the young girl wearing the dress in 2 different styles. Well, it looks nothing like that on me! The neckline straps are defective and twisted around the s...tring that keeps it up. The mid section is unflattering and too tight(I weigh 110 at 5'6") . I ordered a size 4 which is usually generous in BR, but this dress is a hot mess. I would have tried it on but wasn't in our local store. Yikes. I guess I'm stuck with it. I cannot submit with 1* but its awful!

First, the presentation is poor. It appears as if the dress has been worn. It was very wrinkled and twisted. It smells of perfume. I usually were a size 6, but ordered a 12 (from the previous reviews, it appears that the dress runs small - and it does. Since I am not able to return it, I will try to salvage it by having it professionally cleaned…. Banana Republic, I am very disappointed! I am a very loyal customer.

I bought this dress for my daughter's wedding in the color aperitivo red. It is absolutely beautiful! I sized up from a 6 to an 8, because some of the reviews said that it fits small in the chest, and I am larger busted. I'm glad I sized up. It was a final sale, so I was a bit worried. I got so many compliments on it!

Beautiful fabric and lovely design but WAY too small. I have ordered multiple items in the same size over the years and always fit perfectly. This size 8 was more like a 4. Couldn't zip the side up. Yet I ordered another size 8 dress that arrived at the same time and it fits perfectly. Disappointed because it's final sale. I haven't hesitated in the past to order BR online, but not sure I will again. :(

The dress itself was very ill-fitting. I am 137 pounds and ordered a size 6 and 8, both of them ended up being tight. I usually wear a size 6 and have bought dresses from banana republic that were a size 6 and fit perfectly so I'm confused on the sizing. I am going to return both and am a little disappointed as I had high hopes for this dress!

too big of a difference in sizing. Size large too small and size XL way to big???? also, the back strap was sewn in wrong and couldn't get it on properly. Nice weight of fabric and very pretty design but just not well executed in terms of workmanship and sizing
