Every few years, Banana Republic designs a t-shirt that checks all my boxes, and I go broke buying about 7 before they stop producing it. The last favorite has gone threadbare, and I feel like these might be the replacement. Simple design, good fabric, not too long, not too short. Get your usual ...size.
I ordered the multi-stripe. Loved the color combination, the feel of the material, but the shape was just too boxy for me. Even in the XS, I looked like was wearing a shirt borrowed from my big brother. I don't know why the style looks so different on me than the model.

This t-shirt has a nice solid feel and the neckline is perfect for wearing alone or under a sweater. The tummy area is a little snug so I ll be wearing it as a layering piece.

The vintage cotton crew is a nice weight fabric that holds it shape and is a flattering fit. Even though it is less fitted, it isn't boxy. The length is great too. For reference, I am 5'3" and weigh 125 lbs. I bought the small and it fits true to size.

I've been looking for the perfect basic t-shirt that isn't $90+ and the Vintage Cotton Crew-Neck is as close to perfect as I think I'll find. It's a heavier weight knit that sits well on my body and the sleeve length is ideal. I'll be buying more of these!
