Being shorter, smaller, and curvy, ( 5'3, 24 waist, 37 hip) jeans can be quite difficult but I thought I'd take a chance on these since I have been looking for a high rise (but not too high) long length bootcut jean for a few months now and these looked like they might fit the bill. And for the most... part, they do. They fit my waist and hips pretty well. There is a bit of a back gap but not too noticeable. And at the regular length, they are perfectly long to wear with a heel so that the hem goes to the floor but doesn't drag. And they are really flattering, especially from the back. The one thing, to echo others, is that this is not bootcut, it is definitely a straight up flare. Not a deal breaker for me, though. I'd say if you are also curvy these may be the rare jean that works out with no alterations.
I ordered both the light wash and the washed black in 27 petite. I'm typically a 26, but after reading the review, jumped to a 27. The waist fit perfect. I loved the washed black! They were so soft. However, the crotch was 2" too long!!! When I sat down in these, it looked like I was packing!!... Yikes!! I'm very average build, so clearly this was a quality control issue. I'm very sad as I loved these and now they are all sold out in this color and my size. The light wash fit tighter, material was stiffer and the length was shorter. It was supposed to be the same size as the washed black. Both are going back. Very disappointed. These sizing issues keep getting worse with BR. I'm going to have to go elsewhere.

Denim is a great material and thick. I am 5'9" and curvy/athletic build. These jeans did have a gap in the back of the waistband, other than that the jeans are great.

Love the cut and the indigo color, but need to size up to accommodate any curves. Ordered in the same size I usually order because the blend has layover and elastane, but should have gone a size higher because the stretch is minor.

I purchased dark indigo Tall Size 29. I am 5'10" and 150 pounds. I love these jeans. I removed a star because as others have noted, they are not bootcut, they are flare. The most flare-ish jeans I've purchased since the 70s! Some reviewers said they ran small, so I initially ordered a size 30 but found them too big in the rear and thighs. I carry a bit more weight in my hips but am "relatively" small waisted - they are high waisted. I hope this helps. A sturdy denim. Love the dark indigo, the classy cut for an older lady, and the length, 34". FYI Banana Republic, 33" just doesn't work! I find that full length jeans are the most versatile with shoes and boot.

Pretty good Jean, just not a traditional boot cut. I would consider this a flare bottom. Also the stitching is very pronounced, making it slighly more casual.

These are the most flattering jeans I have tried on in a longggg time! The denim is substantial and isn't thin and stretchy like most jeans these days and I love that!! They make your butt look great and make your legs look longer. I'm sold and I hope you'll continue to make this style. Please please make it in an off white and a white!!!
