I've been looking for a while for a wide leg light wash jean that doesn't make me feel like I'm trying to look 20 years younger than I am. These have a clean, tailored fit that feels more mature and elevated. The back pocket size and placement looks good on the bum (what kept me from getting the ver...y similar Reformation Cary jeans was the small back pockets). Fabric is a nice weight, heavier than the Everlane Sailor 2.0 jeans I've tried. Only issue is gapping at the waist. I bought a size 28 and I have a 28-30" waist. I can easily pinch two inches of fabric. Also wish the regular length could have had a 32" inseam. I am 5'7" and they are about .5" off the ground, but for me, the tall/long would need to be worn with heels (the light wash jeans would not look good hemmed). These relax a bit with wear, stretch to about 1/2 size bigger.
Bought these jeans and had some from last fall that were wide as well. Banana Republic completely ruined the long length as it's barely a 33" inseam. L in e many leggy tall women I need at least a 35 " and especially with a wide leg where you want an elegant flowing look they should be long. I feel ...so sad and am shocked that Banana Republic would shorten their long so short women don't need to hem while we tall women simply cacti purchase. Please add the extra length so we can be customers. If you did it across the board as in regular and tall you wouldn't have 5'6" and 5'7" needing to buy a long length and you would also capture the taller customer as you did previously.

I normally take a 28R (145 lbs, 5'7"). I would need a Long if I planned to wear them with any heel. Even with loafers, they look a little short. They are best for sneakers or a very flat sandal. Otherwise great BR quality. I have them in six colors.

I loved the fit and look of these. They were huge on me and I could have sized down at least two sizes. Issue was the first time I put them on and got ready to leave, the button snapped in half! I took it back to the store and the associate wanted the tailor to look at it. They were brand new and first time wearing! I would love to order them again but worried it will happen. I always get jeans from the outlet so knowing this happened from my first pair at the retail store is disappointing.

I have been searching for full length dark wash jeans and was happy to find these. I ordered the medium wash and dark wash. I'm 5'9", 142lbs and liked the fit of a 28 long. I love the look of the dark wash, but the fabric feels really stiff after washing. Ironing eased the fabric some. The medium wash did not feel bad after washing. I wish BR would make this jean with a medium rise.

This taupe color denim looked fabulous in the photos, but in real life, is not as appealing to me. It just looks like overdyed faded blue denim. Additionally, they fit pretty well, but are just a bit too snug in the abdomen for me, so I will need to return them.
