I was excited when I saw this skirt, thinking it would be a heavy weight canvas type material for fall and winter in the Midwest. It is not, but it is excellent in its own way. The material is a thin ripstop, 98% cotton and 2% Spandex but will make this a good skirt for transition seasons and maybe... even throughout summer. I ordered the red orange colour and was pleased with it. The colour is rich and will go with a lot of autumn colours. It would be nice to see it in a deep cherry red for the Spring/Summer season as it would really cute with striped tops. The length is annoying. It's marketed as a midi skirt but I'm 5'8" and even wearing this at my natural waist, it almost skims the ankle. I HATE when a company gives the description as "midi" and doesn't give me the length in inches. I will decide if that is midi or not based on information that is objective, like inches or cm, not subjective, like supposed fit. I love the wide hem on this, though, so I will tolerate the awkward length. Sizing is generous. I'm generally a size 16 and debated about getting an XL or XXL but chose to try the XL first. The fit at the waist is comfortable and feels secure without being constricting. Pocket placement is good and I love that the front pockets have zippers. Back pocket is nice and large for a phone. A very useful skirt with a few things keeping it back from being 5 stars. Good enough that I may get another colour if it goes on sale.
I got the gilded green & it's a great fun color that can go with many different colors. I sized down from my usual medium to a small & I do think that was correct for me. I'm 5'4", but I'm short waisted & mainly legs - I liked the length on me, longer than mid calf but not near my ankles. I liked th...e fabric & the stylish pockets. Unfortunately- it was a miss for me because of how much fabric was around the hips, a place on me that doesn't need emphasizing, so sadly, I returned it.

Reviewed at
gap.comI had doubts about getting this skirt, but I'm very pleased with the style, color, and quality. It's not lined, but it's thick enough that it's not see-through.

Too much fabric in the skirt, not a flattering fit unless you are very thin.

I like the skirt and I think it will be wonderful for traveling. The red/orange color is quite nice. My only complaint is the waistband is a bit bulky. I also sized up and feel like it is slightly big but my regular size was a tad tight. I am keeping it for the quality and rich fun color.

Love the material and the color as pictured. The skirt construction is odd. What I have is longer and a lot more material than pictured. I am 5'3" and this is not midi length on me. Nevertheless I am keeping and taking over to the tailor to alter.

I am an athletic build 165 5'7 ". Long enough for me and the pockets give it a special touch. REAL and DEEP pockets. If you are traveling this is the skirt for you. If you are gardening this is the skirt for you. If you are camping this is also a lightweight easy skirt for you.

Great for summer travel. Vibrant color that can be worn with navy, browns, eggplant. Long lengthy. Runs big.

True to size with a lighter fabric that has a nice stiffness to it. Elastic waist is super comfortable, and i love the zippered pockets. I really hope this skirt is released in more colors.

I purchased this skirt for my daughter and then ordered one online for myself because it was so versatile and chic. Now I have to make sure we don't wear them on the same day!
