I wanted to love this sweater but it did not flatter my frame. I am an average sized woman (5'5", 132 lbs, size 2/4) but I do have wider shoulders. This sweater while so lovely in how thick and soft the material is, has ribbing on the shoulders and elbows like an old school football jersey or someth...ing. I felt like a line backer so this had to be returned unfortunately. What was also unnecessary was the sales associate was in disbelief that I would return this item… sorry lady but it didn't work for me.
I wanted to make this sweater work so bad. I hand-washed it and based on the reviews I was expecting it to shrink and it shrunk a size, still wearable. However, handwashing was so difficult, the fabric is so thick, my neck and my back was hurting, not sure I want to do it again so be mindful of what... to expect. I recommend dry cleaning so order a bigger size to avoid size issues. The neck however, it's stretched out and looks weird. Not sure what to do about it.

I'm not sure who this would be flattering on. It looks good on the model in red who has the sleeves pushed up, and it did look better when I pushed my sleeves up and tightened it at the waist, but clearly I am not going to do this when I wear it. Worn as one wears a sweater, loose at the waist and sleeves down, it just looked large and stiff, like it does on the model in amberlight. The wool is very soft, though, almost plush.
