- A very cool peacoat. We cut this one from our Italian melton wool-blend, so it'll last for years to come. Plus, we kept the fit easy and a little short, as an invitation to play with proportions.

I love this piece! I appreciate the non syntetic lining and the amount of wool in the body. I like the cropped oversized look. For reference I'm 5'3'', 115 pounds, long legs, short torso. The XXS fits well, although I feel an XS would work as well. If I could rate shipping and fit consistency I woul...d give a 2. I noticed the construction and fit varies slightly between colors. I found the right fit after trying 3 of them in the same size (2 navy, 1 yellow). The shipping was disappointing: I ordered a Navy one and a Yellow one in XXS. Both came the same day. the navy was nicely packed in a plastic bag inside a box with a hanger. the yellow one was tossed in the typical Banana black plastic bag for shipping; no hanger, no clear plastic bag to protect the coat. I would have kept both with the discounted price but the way the yellow was shipped made it look not worthy. I miss when Banana send the coats with the black zipped dust protector.
I went to the store to try and buy the coat, but it turned to be fitting poorly with showers just hanging down. It is not a classic design but rather a trendy cropped oversized one with bulky sleeves. You can do better, Banana Republic, some things need to stay timeless and classy instead of running... for a short trend.

I gave 3 because I had to return it. I read reviews before ordering, and most people said it runs large, but I hoped it would still fit. No, it's huge, something wrong with sizing. But the quality of the coat is great.

What a gorgeous jacket! Yes it is closer to mustard yellow. It's well made, a sturdy fit. After reading reviews, I sized down to an XS, typically I'm S to M. I bought it on sale, well worth the money. It came nicely packed with hanger and bag over it. So glad I bought it.

gap.comThis coat checks all the boxes for being both stylish and practical. I always look for natural materials over plastic and this coat stood out amongst the polyester options out there by being 69% wool. The natural wool adds a layer of warmth that plastic fibres simply do not. The quality seems there but I took off a star for not having a replacement button sewn in the hem. For this price, I would expect the extra button. One button arrived slightly loose and fell off after a month of use. Luckily it wasn't lost so I could see the same button back on but I would have been disappointed to have lost one without an identical back-up.

Very nice warm wool that's quality, but I had to return it due to running too large. I got a small but it overpowered my frame and the collar seemed too large for the cropped coat. That's why the models don't have the coat buttoned. I am 5'5" and weigh 133lbs. Size down.

Not only is this not worth the price, it arrived stuffed into the shipping bag. No plastic or garment bag to protect it. No hanger. Not even folded nicely. One would think it was ordered from a used clothing/thrifting website. Returning.
