I love the high rise, and the extra room in the seat and thigh! The dark wash dresses up really nicely with a sport coat. If you're used to slim/skinny jeans, there is a bit of a visual shock at the proportions at first, but they're not like JNCOs, just cut more like classic trousers. Your eyes will... adjust and then you'll realize how much better these look than the glorified yoga pants most of us have been wearing the last 15 years. The denim is definitely Fall/Winter/Spring weight, and comfort maxes out at around 75 degrees w/o humidity. The 1% elastane isn't really necessary with a cut like this, but it does give the fabric just a little give without looking or feeling like "stretch denim" (gross). BR uses vanity sizing so if you're a true 33" waist like me, you'll need to size down to a 31 or 32. But they are true to size if you're used to BR or other mall brands. I haven't washed yet but I hope they hold up well!
I loved the tint of the jeans but they were really wide from the thighs all the way to the bottom. They should be categorized as baggy.

The jeans are a heavier material. Well made with a little stretch. These are over 95% cotton so they do shrink. A year later I am looking to repurchase a larger size to allow for the shrinking. Originally purchased 32 now purchasing a 34. Got to admit BR sizing is exact even in shirts. After a handful of washes in cold water and drying on low heat the clothes get a bit snug.

The quality of these pants is amazing, it exceeded my expectations by far (even more than I imagined). The fabric feels sturdy, well-made, and very high quality. Regarding the fit, they are straight-leg down to the ankle, and around that area the leg opening is slightly wider, which gives them a modern and comfortable look. Overall, they are excellent pants and absolutely worth it.

I was looking for some jeans that had wider leg opening for my boots. Previously I was wearing my BR slim jeans and they were just a bit too snug around my boots. I discovered these jeans, and they're a perfect fit with my boots, not to mention the rise is 1" more than my slim jeans. FTW for these straight authentic jeans.
