Ordered a 2 more pairs of pants just to make sure the first order wasn't a fluke, and all 3 pairs of pants came in as cream colored pants. Giving it 3 stars for a misleading picture (looks pure white to me compared to other photos on the website that clearly show an off white tone) and misleading title/description of white. Why not use a more accurate color title of cream? These pants are not true white, which is what I thought I was buying and is what I wanted. I hope after this feedback/review next year Banana Republic can bring a cleaner, actually white, pair of pants of this caliber to the market, because besides the false advertising of the color, the pants would have been perfect. They are lined so as to not be see through but still using a breathable pant fabric and breathable liner to still get the benefits of the linen. I feel as if the pant fabric could have been even a looser weave since the pants were lined for opacity. So much potential in these pants but unfortunately have to return since they are not as advertised/ not white.

So close to being the literal perfect pair of summer linen pants, but unlike the online picture, the pants are a cream color, not a true brilliant white as displayed in the photo. That is the only reason why it gets 4 stars from me. Besides that, the craftsmanship and construction of the pants are literally perfect. I don't know if making pants can get any better. They come with a built in liner to prevent the pants from being too transparent/see through, which is exactly what I would look for in a white pair of pants. It is a shame these weren't a true white, as I really really wanted to love these. I would have bought multiple pairs. I hope banana republic sees this feedback and comes back next year with a true white. For now, I will have to return these. Love the concept and construction, I just don't love the execution. The picture is misleading and I hope next year Banana Republic brings a true white.

Fabric is crisp and works well with all my linen jackets and shirts. Attention to detail in construction of pant. Highly recommend it.

Item will be great for tropical weather in SE Asia for dinner parties. I like the sturdy but very breathable fabric. It has a soft feel to it without being slick like the polyester fabrics which is what is best for tropical weather. The polyester will feel sticky when you sweat but this won't.

I've been looking for that perfect summer linen pants and found it in banana republic!
