I placed an order with Banana Republic on March 19, 2025, for eight items, but only one was delivered. I was charged the full amount, including $769.70 for the missing seven items. The package I received was very small—only large enough for one shirt, not eight items. From my order history, I saw they shipped one package with a single tracking number, so all items were supposed to be in that one small package, which is impossible. I still have the package as evidence. When I contacted Banana Republic, they gave me a link to file a claim, but it was rejected without explanation. When I asked why, I was told no reason was given and was told to dispute the charge with my bank. After filing a dispute, Banana Republic banned me from logging into my account. It felt like they were treating me like a thief for trying to get a refund on items I never received. Months later, Barclays said the merchant did not violate terms and that I would be charged again. I sent evidence to Barclays but was told they never received it, so I resent it via priority mail. They confirmed receipt later. I was told to submit a Letter of Intent to reopen the case. Barclays said they called me twice, but I never received any calls. I faxed the letter but had to call to confirm, fearing the case wouldn't reopen otherwise. Then Barclays asked for proof I tried resolving with Banana Republic before disputing. Of course, I did that. Finally, Barclays forwarded my evidence to Banana Republic, who refused responsibility. Barclays said they don't decide who is right—they follow the merchant's decision. After all this effort and time, no resolution or refund. Banana Republic didn't deliver my items and locked me out for speaking up. This has been deeply frustrating and unfair. I will never shop here again and warn others to be very very cautious.
