This vest has a waist dart AND an angled bust dart. The fabric is lovely and is lined in something cheap but not acetate cheap. The jump pleat along the inside hem - the folded over lining fabric that gives you extra room to move - was pressed unevenly. But for the price I was very pleased with thi...s vest! The issue is that the tie is attached at the waist dart, even with the bottom button. Because see it's such a structured, shaped piece i have no idea why the designer added apron strings coming out of the front dart. It's weird and it looks dumb...like a vest that was an apron in a former life. Easy enough for me to carefully unpick and then hand sew up. It's lined. So getting access to the waist dart from the inside would be a huge headache. So get it! But you may need to deploy a seam ripper and some sewing skills to divest it of its homesteading roots.
