These High Rise Modern Straight Siena Italian Wool Pants are some of the best I've found. They fit great — comfortable at the waist and really flattering through the legs. The fabric feels soft, breathable, and super high quality. I love that I can wear them to work or dress them down for a more cas...ual look. They do need dry cleaning, but, there so nice.
This wool pant was another big disappointment. It's poor quality, cheap material and stitched is weird ways. For instance, a pocket on one side bulged, but the other side did not. They aren't flattering at all. I don't have another pair of pants that bulge like that so I think I can safely say, it's... not me. Sadly, Banana Republic's quality has declined a lot over the past few years. They've also cut corners by closing a lot of stores. If you no longer offer quality products, change the styles, no longer offer classic styling, charge the same prices and expect your long-term loyal clientele to return, you will be greatly disappointed. Maybe try to figure out why your products are not selling like the used to, which has forced you close a large number of stores? Cheaply made clothes and less access is not a successful business strategy. The closest store to me used to be a 2-1/2 drive. It's gone so I'm unable to try on any clothes before purchasing. This item and others are going back. I think I'm done trying to find flattering, quality clothes on Banana Republic. I used to love their clothes.

gap.comI have these in brown and navy, in a petite 4 (I'm 5'3" and 125 pounds). The navy fits perfect, love them and wear them at least once a week year round (I live in Toronto). They're elegant, super flattering, and I'm so glad I bought them. I also have these in the brown, but they fit baggy instead of elegant and I never reach for them as a result. Super disappointing but love the navy so much I still gave these four stars.

These are nice pants. I like that they are unlined. I returned them because they are just too high rise for me, but if you like high rise, these are nice.

The Italian wool fabric feels breathable and comfortable. The only downside is that they're unlined, so the material feels a bit thin and wrinkles easily. I also had to size up because the waist runs small.

I like these pants but they aren't long enough and don't fit me like I prefer.

I have loved Banana Republic in the past. I have long legs and finding appropriate trousers for work has been a challenge. Banana Republic used to be somewhere I could reliably find long, well-tailored pants. I own two pairs of BR pants which are size 8L. They are a bit too large in the waist for me, but the length is amazing, so I ordered these in a 6L. They were a little too tight and short (I could wear them, but I didn't like how the front pleat pulled completely flat) so I opted to size up. To my disappointment the 8L were too large in the waist and still too tight in the thigh. This pant also claims a 33.5" inseam. You have to stretch the pant out lengthwise to hit 33.5" - this fabric does not drape to that length. All this to say: my long-legged, semi-thick-thighed friends... move along. These are not for us.

Pants are just right, true navy blue. I'm 5'6" tall, 188lbs, size 12 regular. The front zipper area is a little long, but I like that. The pants are a little long but I can wear a 1" flat without them sweeping the ground.

The quality of the wool pant is fine, it's very light and flowy if that is what you want. They should work great in the summer. However, because there is no lining, anywhere they are touching your skin they reveal things you may want to hide, the pockets on the back will move about or ride up and make your back side look sloppy. On the front, if you have any kind of hip the pockets flare out a little. On the bright side, they are wool so they have a nice drape, they are naturally resistant to staining so they stay clean a lot longer than their ponte pant. I wouldn't buy these full price due to missing features I would expect at this price point (lining, better construction on the pockets). I just wish BR would go back to lining some of their professional pants, because there is little that looks professional about their work pants once you wear them for a few hours.
