I really wanted to love this dress! The fabric is a premium, heavy-weight linen and the bodice is nicely lined. The (red) color is a beautiful, cool-toned red with blue undertones. I'm 5'1", 125 lbs, and pear-shaped. I tried both the Small Petite and Small Regular. The SP felt too short, and the top... was much tighter than I prefer (I like a looser fit). While the Small Regular fit better in length, the overall proportions felt "off" on my frame. Sadly, I'm returning both, but the quality is definitely there if you have the right body type for this cut!
The style itself is nice, but I agree with others, it's ridiculous not to put a zipper. It is difficult getting the dress on without it looking totally wrinkled by the time you pull it down. The top is lined, but very disappointing the bottom is not . I ordered the brown colour and despite the da...rk colour the dress is sheer. You can see your entire body shape in the sunlight. For fit, it is a bit tight in the bust, for reference I am a 34DD. I am still undecided if I will keep it.

Love the fit, material and color. I bought the brown. I am 5' 2 1/2" tall, 120 pounds and though the XS fit, due to the absence of a zipper it was quite difficult to get on and off. I sized up to the size S, and the dress still had a nice fit and was easier to put on and take off. I love the feel of the dress, felt it is perfect for a summer night out. Bottom part of the dress is not lined yet not sheer enough to be a concern.

I love the simple classic style of this linen dress and the red color is simply gorgeous. However there are no buttons or zipper and the waistband is fixed, no elastic, so this dress is difficult to put on and take off. I'm surprised that this dress went into production with such a serious flaw. Also like most BR mini dresses it will be too short for mature women over 5'7. Even the Tall sizes will probably be 34 inches; same length as the petite and regular sizes despite what the website states. I wish BR would address this issue.

I am 5'4 and 140lb 36B and ordered a small. It was tight in the chest I couldn't lift my hands or wrap it around myself. No zipper. I love the length and quality but M is too baggy and S doesn't fit( too bad

I love this dress and bought two colors. After reading reviews, I sized up. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because there is no lining on the bottom and in the right light, you can see through it. Plus there's no zipper. I haven't worn either one yet. I hope it doesn't wrinkle too much.

I wanted to love this dress. I purchased my usual size XL. I am 5'7, 200lbs. Curvy. 38dd. This dress missed the mark. Although the length was decent, hit above my knee, wearable to work. It was really tight in the bust and the back part didn't align correctly. It's a heavy linen which gives me the comfort that it will last for years to come . Returned this dress next day.

It's really shame on Banana Republic that this dress was very difficult to get on because of NO ZIPPER! I was so disappointed! For an upscale store, the quality of this dress is poor. If the dress is fitted at the waist, a it calls for a zipper. The color is not as rich looking as it is pictured. I am so sad to have sent it back. :(
