I bought this on a whim, and maybe I was also a bit desperate because I had a late Fall outdoor wedding to go to, and nothing to wear that would be warm enough. Normally these types of dresses make me look huge and frumpy, so I was pleasantly surprised that it looked absolutely gorgeous on me. I bou...ght a size down from my normal size 8, and it fit perfect, so that probably helped. Goes great with a short jacket or a long one. I wore it with a long jacket, solid black tights, and booties, since the wedding was outside on grass at sunset. The fabric has a nice weight to it, which helps it hang close to your body, and the navy color is exactly as shown.
What a terrible dress!!! First of all the material is so bad and cheap & the dress looks nothing like in the picture. The dress arrived totally crumbled and with a stain on the back side. The sizing is off as well. And now I was told I can't return it???? No way! Banaba Republic you can do so much ...better. Don't disappoint loyal and long years customers with producing cheap items and then give them a hard time if they request a refund dye to the damage the item arrived with.

I love Banana Republic's stuff. But not this one. The bottom of the dress has too much volume and it is not flattering at all. But the quality is decent and the length is good. I even like the pockets. But it is a bad design.
