Comments about Ultra High-Rise Wide-Leg Paperbag Pant

The paper bag is difficult to pull off, but reviews were good so I took a chance. I tucked a white Banana t- shirt in and wore a small-stripe blue and white cropped, boxy denim jacket over that. It helped to balance all that was happening waist down. By chance the blue in the jacket was very close to the blue in the pant. The pants are not "navy" as indicated, but look the same as the picture. I was torn between a size 6 and an 8. Happy I went with the 8. Phew! The quality is very good.

Comments about Ultra High-Rise Wide-Leg Paperbag Pant

I like how high rise these are. The legs are very wide, and the fabric is heavy so not great for summer, but feels durable. I would size down however, according to the charts I'm size 6 but 4 fit better.

i usually wear a 2 and these fit perfect and are long enough to wear with flats without being cropped because i usually need a tall inseam. i purchased both colors and they are a good weight for spring/fall.

I love the fit of these! The paper bag waist creates a fun, more casual waistline that works for everyday wear, but can be dressed up for work as well. I need a 30in inseam and got the long, so I'll be shortening the hem just a bit. I got the gray color, it leans a bit purple which I love. It's a warm neutral and goes with so many items in my closet.

Comments about Ultra High-Rise Wide-Leg Paperbag Pant

There is a mistake in the design of these pants. Taken separately, all the elements are good. The cut is stylish and nice, and the color is attractive. The material is good quality. However, the paper bag style is not meant for denim. The material has to be thin enough to fold around the waist. Besides, when the weather gets cold and we need a think pant, we really do not care about folds at the waist.

These pants are made from a quality sturdy cotton. That may cause some to dislike them particularly for Summer. As a woman of a particular age, I find sturdy materials to be necessary. I refuse to wear shape wear and acknowledge that the thin material pants of my youth are not flattering on MY mature body. Usually at BR I'm able to wear a size 4/27 in this pant It was necessary to size up to a 6/28 to accommodate my small tummy comfortably. This paperbag waist is less flattering with my tummy but the quality make and cotton fabric is far superior to so many overpriced polyester clothing pieces these days. I will therefore appropriately style these pants with a bit of a front tuck. Lastly the pants are full in the thighs and may look too big for some. I consider myself a stylish individual (a woman) and my wardrobe reflects that. I do not find it necessary to prove to others the size or rather the smallness of my thighs I have other clothing as well. To quote a poet, "I am many women."

These pants remind me of what I love about Banana Republic clothing. The cotton is thick and stury, yet falls nicely and feels natural on the body. You can immediately tell they're quality pants. The only issue I have is that there is a little bulking of the fabric to the front which I think is caused by the pleats, so I'm having mine tailored further done. At the sale price, I'm considering buying the grey as well.
