High rise, not Mid

I am 5' 7" and 180lbs. Curvy, short torso, long legs. I wear a 12 jean comfortably and a 10 jean very fitted. Crotch to ankle I'm 29." I purchased two pairs of these pants. Black and the cinnamon brown color. Love both of the colors. I purchased the large tall size. The linen is a great quality....

Too short and wide

Wanted to love these because I love the green color and linen fabric, but they were way too short and cut very wide in the hips. I'm 5'2", 108 lbs, and ordered my usual size Petite XS. They hit 2-3 inches above my ankle at an awkward spot which made me look like my legs were chopped off -- not what ...

Stretch out to ridiculous size

Loved initial fit check, washed and wore. By end of day stretched out to ridiculous proportions. What a huge disappointment as washed /worn and the fit was already generous (intentional with cut). I ordered two additional pairs of linen pants for the summer, different cut - will have to return those - as an intentional became clownish by end of day. If I could return these I would but sadly washed them. I know linen has some give but these are unwearable unfortunately.

These pants are amazing. The linen is soft and not too sheer, I got the lovely brown color and it's a good neutral that has a bit of pop. I got the Large petite, being 5'2" and the cut is perfect. The waist is comfy and the legs aren't restrictive, exactly what I was looking for to full time mom. Pockets are also great for holding treasures and snacks. This was a good pick for my first barrel pant and I would get more in this cut. Only downside, I did manage to shrink the pants ~1" when I first washed them. They are a little too short, but I think they will release and go back. I'm annoyed with myself for putting them in the dryer at all, but I did a cool 30 minute cycle on medium intensity. Sooo definitely air dry these.

I ordered an xl and I love the fit. I'm on the shorter side. I want to order every color. These pants are awesome for hot flashes. They are breezy and flow nicely. However, you can see through the fabric. I have the black for reference.

I think I'll be living in these over the summer!

Reference: 5'2", 145 lbs, apple shape, longer torso/shorter legs with a 34" natural waist, Typically wear Petite Medium in pants. After reading reviews that this pant runs "short", I ordered the tan color in REGULAR Medium during a recent sale. Detailed reviews with specific reference to body size, normal size AND the size ordered are extremely helpful! The REGULAR MEDIUM, which I wear right at my waistline, not midrise, fall right at my ankle and will be perfect with sandals for spring, summer & upcoming trip to the California desert. Front pockets are deep, back patch pockets are flattering, unlike slit pockets (yay!), elastic waist provides enough give when needed but the ties actually function, too. The barrel leg is as anticipated and while loose in the hips/thighs, are neither too wide nor too narrow and flatters my shape much, MUCH better than standard straight or wide leg linen pants usually do. Fabric feels very light and crisp, more flowy than some linen pants I have which were rather heavy. Stitching is very well done, no loose threads. I've read that immediately after washing to "shake" out linen pants vigorously before hang drying, to greatly reduce the wrinkling; will see if that holds true as I hate ironing anything. I have a feeling I'm going to wish I'd ordered multiples in different colors. I can HIGHLY recommend these, but be cautious of the length; if you're petite, order regular. Someone UNDER 5' might find the petite a good angle length. If you're regular, order tall. Tall girls may be out of luck with these unless they're looking for a capris style pant? :(

NOT true to size!

I read every review before purchasing a size regular small online. I'm 5'5 and 125 lbs. I've gained 15 lbs through perimenopause so I never know what size to order anymore. I used to always be an xs. I ordered the small and while I like the length the bagginess through the leg is way oversized compared to how they fit in the photos online. I now have to drive 45 minutes to return and I still very much want these pants and have no idea whether to re-order a xxs or xs. I also purchased these during a 40% off sale and will not get that discount upon re-ordering, a disappointment. Still a beautiful, high quality pair of pants, very nice linen and the green is so rich looking, will go with everything!

Nice linen fabric. However short much shorter than they r suppose to be and I'm Average height. Not really very barrel like either. More of a baggy straight fit. Could be ok for summer

Wanted to love these because I love the green color and linen fabric, but they were way too short and cut very wide in the hips. I'm 5'2", 108 lbs, and ordered my usual size Petite XS. They hit 2-3 inches above my ankle at an awkward spot which made me look like my legs were chopped off -- not what a short girl wants. There was also extra fabric in the hips, much more than necessary for a casual flowy look, imo. I'm returning these and probably will not buy the regular length because I'm concerned they will still be too wide and unflattering in the hips (at least for me, with straight hips). If you give them a try, do not order your usual length. Go up to a regular or tall instead.

The linen is a great quality. When I wash them, they did not shrink it all even though my son accidentally put them in the dryer with his laundry and dried them on medium heat. Lol I purchased the tile because some other reviewers had said they were very short pants and maybe if I wore a small like I used to in my 20s they would be too short on my legs but the large tall came down to just below my ankles if I wore the waist at my bellybutton. If I pulled these up higher to my true waist, since they are actually high waisted and not midrise like they say they are, then the length does come just slightly above my ankle. I would say order the tall if you have extremely long legs or if you would like these to be the length of a full length pant. Since I had already worn and washed the black pair, I am keeping the large tall and wearing it as a full length pan, but I do find it more comfortable for me to roll the waist over. I do not like how high the rise is since I have an apron belly and it is just not flattering. Wish it was truly a mid rise. I sent the cinnamon color back and exchanged for a large regular length because I think I do actually like these pants to look a bit more cropped. I am waiting for those to arrive. In the large size they fit perfectly around my hips and fell nicely. I did have some extra room. If I wanted a little bit more of a fitted look, I could have probably gotten a medium and been very comfortable, especially since they did not shrink at all. Happy with my choice of L just for a bit of extra room.
