nice fabric and nice pant if the length works for you and if you are skinny or have a super flat stomach but I am tall and have put on bit of weight around the waist and this style SUPER highlighted the spare tire situation :(

I bought these pants because I love linen, and I love banana republic. I have always been a solid 6 in Banana Republic sizes. I ordered the six long because I read that they are a little short. Even the long length hits a little above the foot. The side zipper is awkward to close, and even broke on the first try. I replaced the pants and got a new pair with the zipper is still very awkward. I returned the second pair also. I was hoping that these would work because I loved the cut out at the Hammond the color.

I bought them for a slimmer pair of linen pants in a neutral, go-with-everything color. The color and quality of linen work. But they are a little tight in the hips, which has never been an issue for me with BR. The waist is fine and even a bit loose. The size zipper is very tight and difficult to get up, especially because there is no waistband to hold on to (why is that an improvement? To make it more difficult to tuck shirts in?). They do not look like flares so much as somewhere between straight and wide. Odd cut, an attempt at novelty poorly executed.
