I love everything about this dress! As a tall woman (5'8"), finding the perfect length is tough, but this hits right at my ankles—making it perfect for both flats and heels. It also features adjustable straps and pockets, which is a huge plus. Fit note: The bodice runs extremely snug. I'm a 36C and... bought a size 6, but I really wish I could have tried an 8 (unfortunately, it's sold out). The breast cups run a bit short, so if you are larger than a C cup, I highly recommend sizing up one or even two sizes. Overall, it is incredibly elegant, versatile enough to dress up or down, and a fantastic wardrobe staple!
I wear a Petite 4 or BR Small (5'2", 117 lbs, 34C), but this size 4 didn't work for my frame. The skirt is cool. It has plenty of volume and weight, though the fabric is heavier than expected and may be too warm for summer. The corset top, though, is tiny - I couldn't get the zipper past my waist. S...izing up for the top resulted in far too much fabric everywhere else. It's a nice design, but the proportions between the top and bottom are mismatched. Not for me.

The quality is really great, however all the reviews saying you need to size up are definitely true, especially if you have a slightly larger cup size. I'm usually 4 or 6 (petite is always nice too), 32DDD, but this dress was too small in 6 petite, I could barely get it zipped. I'm trying 8 petite next to see if it's wearable, but I'm kind of scared it might also be snug and it's final sale. It's a nice thick cotton, has pockets, and adjustable straps, which is great.

The material is thick and a good quality. The top fits perfectly (34B) but could be tight on larger breasts. The length was to my ankles (5'3"). I love the pattern on the fabric and the pockets make it a perfect not to dressy going out dress. The only problem with all of Banana republic clothing is that they spray them with fragrance and I have an allergy.

This is a beautiful dress. Well constructed, flattering yet very comfortable. Unfortunately I grabbed the last remaining size that's one size down from my usual but alas it's too small and the corset wouldn't close. Returning but please bring it back and I'll repurchase! I would also love more colors - navy, dark wine or forest green would be stunning.

The quality is great on this dress and it is beautiful however, banana republic seems to have abandoned many of its true "tall" dresses for options that are simply long on the average person. This does nothing for those 511 to 6 feet and over customers who truly need real tall sizing. This is a big miss for the company and will result in a loss of a very important customer base.

The dress looks just as beautiful in person. It's comfortable, easy to wear, great fit. I bought a size up (XS) because my usual size (xxs) was sold out, which maybe worked out better for me. The bust is slightly larger than I anticipated based on the reviews, but it's a keeper!

It's a beautiful sturdy made dress. Thing with women's bodies is that we grow with our cycles and our curves make it difficult to determine exact measurements standing and sitting. So this dress has zero stretch. It is a corset style dress. I normally wear a size 4 to 6 and I chose the size 10 dress so that my ribs would not crush when I sat down and breathed in deeply. In-order to get the size 10 to fit my ribcage I will have to take it to a tailor to get cups inserted so that I can also take it in a slight bit so it will fit my breasts as it is too roomy there. It also became more roomy around the hips which I didn't need but it still looks nice just changed the look significantly to a little more formal. I wish the dress had a few slits of stretch along the side and back rib area. I do believe our era has experienced the true liberation of stretch in our clothes so taking it all away for a structured dress that is not tailored for each individual woman who tries the dress is going to be difficult to fit well in all areas of the dress. Because it was on sale I decided I would invest in taking it to a tailor to get cups inserted but I would not have had to if there were even a few slits with stretch in the ribcage area. My fear is if my breasts grow a bit or if they take in the cups will it be against too tight on the ribcage when I sit? Beautiful dress but I am quite small framed but very curvy and I think this dress is not going fit quite a lot of women as well as it could have. For me it is worth altering but I don't actually know if that was wise or if this dress will sustain me for the next year to come.
