Surprised by the quality and cut of the dress. Very flattering from chest down. The sleeves were alarmingly puffy and just felt a bit ridiculous at my age, but I was able to de-puff them so they looked more like the model. My main issue with this dress besides feeling too old for this dress was th...e neckline. I found it gape-y. I'm a 32D and my shoulders aren't very broad so the neckline felt and looked bigger than on the model. If the puff sleeves and neckline work for you, this dress is a winner and if it was sold in a luxury dept store would cost 3x. Also, the dress was folded up very economically and when I pulled it out, it had surprisingly few wrinkles/creases. The material is excellent. This is a heavyweight cotton poplin so the dress has great structure, but it might be too heavy for a summer day in the south.
I was so looking forward to receiving this dress in the mail. But it was a disappointment once received. I ordered the yellow color, didn't like the shade in person vs online. It's see through no lining. The sleeves are way too puffy. There is too much material at the waist making it unflattering. I ordered a size down (usually a medium, ordered a small) and it got ok but sleeves are huge. Also yellow dress is see-thru even with nude underwear. If it was less expensive, it might be passable for a casual grocery run when it's hot, but it's too expensive to have those flaws.

The material is light and breathable Cotton. Great for hot weather. I really don't like the fit. It is not flattering, made me look bigger and it looks frumpy. I am really disappointed with this dress from Banana Republic as opposed to some BR Cotton dresses I got last year which I loved. As for the sizing, I am 5'6 and I have a really short torso, so I got the petite size and it was the right decision for me.

What can I say. I am petite but only the yellow was available in petite , I took a chance and bought the pink in small regular. This is buy far the best decision I made. The quality is top notch . Waiting for the weather to warm up

That said, I am returning it because I look good in a lemon yellow, as it appears on the website, but it is almost a greeny-yellow which is definitely not my colour. I'm sad :/
