I'm 50, aging athletic pear-shaped body which means my butt is bigger than I'd like it to be. I ordered the 10 and 12, and oddly, the 12 slides down enough that the back of the skirt outlines my butt more than I'd like. The 10, I think, fits better in the back because the transition piece hits hig...her and the draping then starts sooner. That said, the front is a bit too tight, accentuating my middle aged mom-pouch. Regardless of size, the frontal view and length is great, and the slit is a non-issue. It's so discrete, and long, that it doesn't reveal too much 50-year old mom-thigh. Overall, if I were 20-40 and had a smaller butt, this is definitely one of the cutest skirts I've seen in a long time, and I high recommend it. For those us going through another unwanted body transition, I'm not sure. It will depend on where you put your weight, and how much curve you like to highlight. I'm a traditional minimalist, so I don't like tight clothing. I'm striving for a fit not unlike the way the model wears it - a straight drop.
I bought a few skirts during Friends and Family This was my least favorite Came very wrinkled and color was not as bright as photo

gap.comI was excited about receiving this skirt in black, however, it wasn't as well executed as it looks in the pictures. Yes, it's unique, the fabric has a slight grid pattern and even the slits weren't that bad. It's just not that great of a shape when it's on and honestly, I think this skirt would have been much better if it had been made with a more flowy fabric, instead of the stiff cotton that it is made with. It felt like I was trying on part of a parachute and I looked frumpy. For reference, I am 5'8, 140lbs and ordered the 6, the size was fine.

Happened upon this in store. Seeing it in person I noticed the subtle grid pattern, nice lightweight fabric, and drape. The skirt is very flattering on and runs true to size. Hope more colours will be released.

Love this skirt. Be aware that there are slits on the sides if you don't want your upper leg to show at all.

I wanted to love this, but it was just too high-waisted for me, and I tried 2 different sizes (my usual and a size up). The material is thin, so very unforgiving around the waist. But if you are a very thin person, this is an adorable skirt!

This is a well-made skirt with great style; terrific cotton fabric that will be cool in the warm weather (though it does wrinkle a bit). The only minus for me is that the slits on the sides are a little too high for my taste, but I'm old...! I usually get size 0P in BR and it fits perfectly.
