The length and weight make it prefect for either jeans or a more office look. Not too fitted so can layer with a sweater comfortably.

the fabric is lovely, the colors are lovely-- but the size of the plaid blocks can really be unflattering if the cut is off for your frame. I tried on the XS in store, am 5'2" around 100 lbs and the regular XS was too big -- way too long to be a blazer -- it looked like a blazer on the top of the coat, and an overcoat on the bottom ... I tried to order he petite XS or XXS but they were both out of stock. I think if I went for a size Small, even in petite, with how large the plaid is, it would look just bulky and not drape well-- or just look wide.

I originally purchased a size small and was not impressed with anything about this- the packaging, the fit.... but I gave it another chance and purchased an xs and it was the right move. Came nicely packaged, and most importantly, the fit was MUCH better than the small. The back doesn't tent out and it is everything I was looking for in a thick blazer. High society is the statement with this piece.

I liked the length and shaping of the jacket. When I tried it on, I found the horizontal stripes to be less than flattering so I returned it. Maybe a less "fuzzy" fabric would have been better. I appreciate that BR takes some risks at giving us interesting choices.

Finding your correct size is key. I am 5 ft 6, slim build at 115 pounds. Ordered XS, the fit is perfect. The look emanates the allure of old money. I am definitely keeping mine!

I was soooo looking forward to getting this. Received a few minutes ago and was disappointed at the packaging for such a pricey piece. Was packaged haphazardly in BR bag, no hanger, or protective inner bag. excitedly tried it on to be instantly disappointed at how big and frumpy it looks on me. it is little tight in the biceps area, fair, since my arms are more muscular. The profile is so unflattering, tenting out with no shape. I do have oversized blazers, but this does not give that same vibe. I have a feeling that if I exchanged it for an XS, the arms would be tighter and uncomfortable for my build. Surprised there are no reviews on this already... maybe because they are not being posted. Sending back unfortunately because I wanted to love this.
