The dress overall is nice however it is a very thin, lightweight silk… not a luxurious silk. The style is fine, not a big fan of the tie in the back and I sized up because I have a curvy figure. I am 5'6" and it hits slightly above my ankles. I am150lbs and while it fits just right around my hips.. it is loose around my waist area.

Quality is not what I expected from Banana republic. The dress is very thin, looks cheap like more of a costume than an actual dress. It's not worth even for discounted price. Too bad I can't return. So disappointed.

This dress is absolutely stunning. It shows the curves so well. True to size. In have a curvy body with a small chest. 5.5 for 130pounds. Size 6 was perfect!

Style is very flattering. Folds at waistline camouflage less than perfectly flat abdomen and slims waistline. Adjustable back helps to emphasize your curves. Got lots of compliments. Best worn with a backless, strapless bra.

I've tried to purchase this dress probably around 3 or 4 times and each time they send me the petite length instead of regular length meaning it does NOT reach the ankles like the photos show. I don't know what's wrong with the brand or website or the warehouses but this is beyond disappointing and frustrating.

I did not expect this dress to be as nice as it is on. It is very elegant and comfortable given that it's lightweight and 100% silk. I plan to wear to wear this alone as a cocktail dress and to dress down with a chunky or oversized sweater. I should be able to get plenty of wear out of it

Like others have said, the fabric is very think and would definitely need to be worn with some kind of shape wear bottoms to ensure see through issues didn't happen. I'm also large chested (36DD wearing a size 8) and the shoulder/cross back never laid flat on me, despite the bottom being a perfect fit.

I ordered this in the emerald green. It shows off curves perfectly. Fabric is good quality. Bannana republic dress fits better on me the reformation dresses. I loved it so much I just ordered it in black.

For those too shy to wear silk slip dresses in public, this dress is for you, relatively modest in the front and sexy in the back. The bias cut and ruching on the sides allow the fit to be quite forgiving and flattering around the waist and hips. I adore the style and bought 2 sizes both in black in petite and regular length so I can wear the dress with both dressy flats and heels.
