I bought this dress for a black-tie wedding. I didn't want a dress that clung to my body like spandex, but it had to flatter my figure. I also wanted to be able to move freely, and this dress fit the bill. It is very comfortable. I was also very happy with the length. It fell at my ankles. The... dress is made of silk so you must expect it to be thin and lightweight. However, it is a solid silk dress. Durable. And it draped nicely. Silk is not for everyone. I am 135 pounds, 5' 4" tall and bought a size 4. It fit me perfectly.
Like others have said, the fabric is very think and would definitely need to be worn with some kind of shape wear bottoms to ensure see through issues didn't happen. I'm also large chested (36DD wearing a size 8) and the shoulder/cross back never laid flat on me, despite the bottom being a perfect f...it.

I ordered this in the emerald green. It shows off curves perfectly. Fabric is good quality. Bannana republic dress fits better on me the reformation dresses. I loved it so much I just ordered it in black.

gap.comFor those too shy to wear silk slip dresses in public, this dress is for you, relatively modest in the front and sexy in the back. The bias cut and ruching on the sides allow the fit to be quite forgiving and flattering around the waist and hips. I adore the style and bought 2 sizes both in black in petite and regular length so I can wear the dress with both dressy flats and heels.

I see these are final sale now, so I wanted to give a sister a heads up, I bought one size up in this for a proper fit. You want it to skim and drape, not be skin tight. This is probably why previous reviewers talk about it being "like lingerie" I think the fabric is beautiful, and I'm hoping to see more of this washable silk in something more universally flattering so everyone can enjoy :)

I am 5'6, 108 lbs. and have 33 inch hips and this dress in a zero was very tight through the hips. Hopefully a 2 will be better.

This is a stunning dress, I love the neckline, open back and the ruching at the waste. I did find it very hard to get on, and also couldn't get the wrinkles out with a steamer. Wore it to a black tie gala in SF and the dress was a hit. I'm 5'3" and 124lb and the 4 petite was perfect.

this is more like a piece of lingerie than a gown. It is completely unlined and the satin fabric has no heft to it at all.
