Modifying my earlier review

I managed to find this—and it's a nice cut & fit. I agree with another tall reviewer that a Tall size would be better. I'm 5'11" and, although the large was acceptable in length, not at long as pictured. The reason I am returning the skirt and not giving 5 stars is bc it's SO thick & heavy! It's a r...

How did I miss this?!

Not sure if I can review since I don't have this skirt, but it looks amazing and sounds great from most reviews so I'm very sad that it's completely sold out before I even saw it for sale!! I've been all over the BR web site for months and am seeing so many new items that did not show up for me at b...

I just love this skirt!

I am surprised to see that it has not sold out yet. The skirt is very warm, and the quality is actually very good. I have shopped at BR for a long time, and I would say this is the level of quality we used to see in their older garments. I agree with one of the comments that this is not a midi skirt. It is definitely a maxi, and even the photos show it as a maxi.

Comments about Merino-Cotton Midi Sweater Skirt

Very good quality material, nice design, draping well, the cotton content helps reducing static, but it wears way too long in my opinion, more a maxi than a midi. I ordered on line and it arrived smelling like perfume or laundry detergent yet I cannot see any signs indicating it was worn, but who knows. Because it is so difficult to find good quality kitted skirts, I will keep it, but I will have to shorten it somehow. I'm 5'7, ordered a S.

Great for cold weather..not Virginia

I was so looking forward to this skirt. However, it was too heavy weighted for Virginia winters. I may have considered keeping it, but the color was more sandstone than cream white and the sweater I wanted to wear with it clashed. Disappointed as I used my rewards points, which I lost with the return.

Comments about Merino-Cotton Midi Sweater Skirt

Really like this skirt for the colder winter months—it is both warm and effortlessly elegant. I also own another skirt, purchased many years ago, in a similar style but made from a lighter wool-and-cotton blend. Like that one too, these pieces feel timeless and do not age.

I have this skirt in both colours. Versatile for different events/occasions. The fit is so flattering. True to size. Can't wait to wear to my granddaughters first birthday!

I love the idea of this skirt. But I can tell that it is going to pill easily. Also, I'm 5'11'' and it's not as long as on the models. So I'm sadly returning!

Good quality, keeps you warm. The only thing it's missing is pockets.

Update

I am not sure if they will post a 2nd review, but I did try this one size down and it is so much more flattering. Sizing down is not usually my MO but it did work this time! (I have small hips and I'm 5'5, sized down from L to M). I think my issue is that it's a straight size with no adjustability (eg I can tie the poplin maxi skirts smaller). Anywho attempting this update jic it helps someone else
