I rarely write reviews but seeing few positive reviews I was surprised/thought warranted. This is a beautiful classy boot that is a classic & great quality. It took a push to get them on but once on found quite comfortable. I also would note that I have athletic calves & these just do fit over leggings (size 7 for reference as I have found if you go up in size calf size in boots increases). I plan to take them to local cobbler to stretch to get more room in the calf. Yes these will take some breaking in but I think they easily will.

I received these in a large box but no shoe box. They were folded in half and shoved into a plastic bag with the folded dust bag to rattle around in the giant box. I was so appalled! I tried them on and not sure about sizing. I like to wear thick socks with my boots. Anyway, the way they were shipped was so off putting I am going to return and look elsewhere.

It is disconcerting to me that BR will not post my previous review of this incredibly painful boot. Why have they posted NO reviews of this aesthetically beautiful boot? I do not have wide feet. I am not overweight. I do not have wide calves. I was anticipating lovely, supple leather similar to the boots I purchased last year. These were not uncomfortable; they were painful. I have never had such an experience with a pair of shoes/boots.

I hate leaving a negative review for this beautifully styled boot, but I thought I'd warn other shoppers like me. I was expecting supple leather like the boots I got last year, but that is not the case here. These were the most painful shoes/boots I have tried on (maybe ever). The fit was right, but they are very stiff and hard, and painful. My feet hurt just thinking about them.
