Beautiful suit. Good quality. Not as thick as i thought which is fine by me. Husband loves it. True to size. I don't have anything bad to say

Comments about Italian Wool-Blend Suit Jacket

The color, pattern, and fabric were all great. The sizing was really off, and I didn't like the massive shoulder pads. Depending on the brand and style, I usually take anywhere from a 38 to a 40. The 40R was massive and it felt like I was a kid wearing an adult's suit jacket. I also have an older Banana Republic slim fit suit that's a 40R and it fits perfectly. I purchased that a while ago, though, so clearly the standards have changed. The 38S was a better fit, but the shoulder pads were still too thick/large. I have a fairly athletic build, but no matter what I did they were creating large divots at the top of the shoulder. I don't mind a little bit of structure in the shoulder, but the pads were so thick that they prevented the jacket from falling naturally along the shoulder into the arm and it was not flattering. I think they're designed for someone with a much more boxy shoulder line rather than a downward slope. I'm average height at 5'9", but maybe I just have strange proportions with respect to my torso vs my inseam lengths because something between the R and the S jacket length would be ideal. The S didn't quite cover my seat, and the R was a little too long. That said, other aspects of the jacket's fit were great. For comparison, I also tried a JCrew Ludlow suit, which was also in a slightly heavier fabric. The Ludlow suit was way too tight in the arm holes, too tight in the waist, and there was a lot of bunching and bumps in the fabric along the back. Alternatively, this Banana Republic jacket fell nicely and smoothly along the back without the wrinkles and bumps.

It is a great fit. Shoulders a little bigger than I expected, but still look good. Color is also a little more muted than I thought, but not in a bad way.

Comments about Italian Herringbone Suit Jacket

I recently purchased a men's blazer from Banana Republic, and it exceeded every expectation. The cut is refined and perfectly structured, giving it a polished, modern silhouette. The fabric quality is outstanding—substantial yet comfortable, with a luxurious feel that elevates the entire piece. The in-store customer service was equally impressive. The team was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping me find the right fit. It was a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience from start to finish. A truly exceptional blazer and a brand that continues to deliver excellence. Highly recommended.

Definitely sizing is an issue with BR. This is a brand-new item for the Fall and you are already out of stock on 3 sizes - that is definitely supply chain or sorting problem. The Fall season just started, so soon to be out of stock on more popular sizes - very frustrating to receive daily email on items I can't purchase - also consider expanding to size 50 as your suit generally run on the smaller size.
