Being shorter, smaller, and curvy, ( 5'3, 24 waist, 37 hip) jeans can be quite difficult but I thought I'd take a chance on these since I have been looking for a high rise (but not too high) long length bootcut jean for a few months now and these looked like they might fit the bill. And for the most... part, they do. They fit my waist and hips pretty well. There is a bit of a back gap but not too noticeable. And at the regular length, they are perfectly long to wear with a heel so that the hem goes to the floor but doesn't drag. And they are really flattering, especially from the back. The one thing, to echo others, is that this is not bootcut, it is definitely a straight up flare. Not a deal breaker for me, though. I'd say if you are also curvy these may be the rare jean that works out with no alterations.
I ordered both the light wash and the washed black in 27 petite. I'm typically a 26, but after reading the review, jumped to a 27. The waist fit perfect. I loved the washed black! They were so soft. However, the crotch was 2" too long!!! When I sat down in these, it looked like I was packing!!... Yikes!! I'm very average build, so clearly this was a quality control issue. I'm very sad as I loved these and now they are all sold out in this color and my size. The light wash fit tighter, material was stiffer and the length was shorter. It was supposed to be the same size as the washed black. Both are going back. Very disappointed. These sizing issues keep getting worse with BR. I'm going to have to go elsewhere.

I loved the fit of these but the first time I wore them my husband noticed a rip in the butt by the pocket. This was before washing. I changed out of them and noticed another small rip in the thigh. I just returned them today. I will purchase another pair and hope for the best!

Fortunately, these were in stock at my local store as the reviews left my uncertain what size to try. The 27 fit perfectly and doesn't gap at the waist like many jeans (5'4", 130 lbs.). The length is good with boots or platform sneakers.

These are a good staple pair of jeans with a little stretch and a boot cut. Have not washed yet but they seem to keep their shape instead of getting all baggy in certain spots. Length was perfect to wear with sneakers at 5 ft 7 in regular length.

The jeans are more flared than bootcut, but I love that it hugs my waist as well as my hips. I'm 5'1", 110lbs and the size 24 Regular fit me best. The length is a little long but perfect for heels. #sweepstakes
