Mid-Rise 90s Loose Jean in Ecru

These jeans in Ecru are weighty cotton/lyocell denim in a shade a bit darker than Transition Cream White. In the heyday of low-and-mid-rise jeans, they were not an option for me as I have a long rise. Sizing was a puzzle; I combed reviews for clues. Most of my current jeans are 26 or 27; I ultimate...

Too big, rise too high

These jeans are the perfect ecru color, and not see-through at all. However, the denim is too heavy for summer. Also, there is no universe where these jeans are mid-rise. They completely cover my belly button. They have a relaxed fit, which might be OK if they are mid- or low rise, but with the high...

Too big, rise too high

These jeans are the perfect ecru color, and not see-through at all. However, the denim is too heavy for summer. Also, there is no universe where these jeans are mid-rise. They completely cover my belly button. They have a relaxed fit, which might be OK if they are mid- or low rise, but with the high rise they are just too big. I considered exchanging for a smaller size, but they were no longer on sale. I used to buy a lot of pants/jeans from BR, but lately I'm finding everything in petite sizes just too large overall. I really appreciate BR quality, but the clothes also need to fit.

Poorly executed jeans in this wash. I could barely work the top button. I have ordered other colors and loved them, but this vintage wash, the quality was very poor.

Love these jeans!!

These are fantastic! Super flattering and incredibly comfortable. Stick with your true to size if you want a comfortable look. Not too loose and not too tight.

Just not cool

I have been wanting a pair of ecru jeans and was hoping for a little street style and sight taper, but the cut is SO blah. Another major issue is that they are high rise and one full size too large. Fabric is mid weight. I am 5'3 125lbs and purchased my usual size 27/4 petite.

Not good for pear or hourglass

I am 5'3 125 pounds and bottom heavy, and while my typical size 27/4 Petite was correct, they had a BAD waist gap and an unflattering, pancaking backside with large, wide set rear pockets. Almost like a mens jean. Have had this issue with BR jeans since the 90s, and these are no exception. When will i learn? Probably good for "apple" or "pencil" shaped bodies.

they were heavy weight.

Color more yellow in person. I wanted an off white color jean and thought these were it but they were a little too yellow than I wanted. Fit and quality are ok. Denim is thick but comfortable. I'm 5 feet and 100 pounds and the size 25 Petite fit me but slightly loose.

Very heavy denim, great fit

I am 5' 5" and 120 pounds with a short waist and longish legs. I am trying to decide between the 25 and 26 in medium wash. Both look great. The 26 is just a bit baggier in the leg and does have a slight gap in the waistband but because this is such a heavy denim, they "slouch" better in this bigger size and feel more comfortable. The 25's are more polished looking and fit perfectly in the waist, not too baggy in the leg, but feel so stiff and structured. These jeans are definitely on the wider leg side of "straight." They feel like high quality jeans. I'm ordering them in the light wash to compare. Maybe the light wash won't be as stiff.

great jeans but closer to high rise.

Love the fit of these jeans and I have been looking for grey jeans for a long time.
