I've been looking for a while for a wide leg light wash jean that doesn't make me feel like I'm trying to look 20 years younger than I am. These have a clean, tailored fit that feels more mature and elevated. The back pocket size and placement looks good on the bum (what kept me from getting the ver...y similar Reformation Cary jeans was the small back pockets). Fabric is a nice weight, heavier than the Everlane Sailor 2.0 jeans I've tried. Only issue is gapping at the waist. I bought a size 28 and I have a 28-30" waist. I can easily pinch two inches of fabric. Also wish the regular length could have had a 32" inseam. I am 5'7" and they are about .5" off the ground, but for me, the tall/long would need to be worn with heels (the light wash jeans would not look good hemmed). These relax a bit with wear, stretch to about 1/2 size bigger.
Bought these jeans and had some from last fall that were wide as well. Banana Republic completely ruined the long length as it's barely a 33" inseam. L in e many leggy tall women I need at least a 35 " and especially with a wide leg where you want an elegant flowing look they should be long. I feel ...so sad and am shocked that Banana Republic would shorten their long so short women don't need to hem while we tall women simply cacti purchase. Please add the extra length so we can be customers. If you did it across the board as in regular and tall you wouldn't have 5'6" and 5'7" needing to buy a long length and you would also capture the taller customer as you did previously.

Absolutely loved the fit before washing! I washed once on cold and dried on low and the black faded in streaks down the leg.. They are completely unwearable now. But I like the fit so much I'm considering buying a light wash.

I was so excited when they had these on sale - and in my size! But when they arrived I tried them on and they were too small. It's so frustrating, I got a pair of BR jeans one size up and they were huge on me! The sizing seems so random. You may want to size up one size (at least that was my experience). They are beautiful jeans though - I've ordered the dark ones a size up so fingers crossed. And I have to say BR has excellent customer service - it's why I keep coming back.

Flattering fit through the waist and hips. Effortless look that can be dressed up or down. I am 5'9" and got the tall so I can cuff them (very rarely a problem for me to have pants that are too long...). Modern and classic. I love them.

gap.comLove the jeans. Great style. These jeans are high rise. Length seems good. I will hang to dry as I do not want them shrinking in length. I ordered 28 in both brown and faded black. Brown color was tight and I'll be returning. The faded black color fit great (a little loose actually)! BR pant sizing is off and very inconsistent. Whatever I normally wear, I can't trust their pant sizing. It's annoying because I end up having to return most of my orders!
