Very nice quality and vibrant fall colors but be aware these are truly wide-leg as well as high waisted. They're snug in the waist (even for those on the thinner side), tight at the hip/butt, and run short. If you're 5'3" or less, these work well with flats but nothing more than a 2-2.5" shoe. If t...aller than 5'3", order the tall sizes. I highly suggest to order 1 size up from your normal size for comfort, especially if you're curvy. I'm 5'2", 27" waist and have ample hips/butt. I exchanged the 6 for a size 8 and it made a huge difference in the fit and feel. Also, the black appears more midnight navy than black and the wine color is more dark raisin (somewhere between the color eggplant mixed with very dark brown). To help with the drape and flow and to prevent these already wide leg pants from ballooning out or looking like chaps, I found it helpful to turn these inside out and steam them to get rid of the creases down the sides of the legs (likely the result of folding/shipping process). I would only dry clean these or use "dry cleaner in a bag" to prevent fading, shrinkage and the chaps look. Hope this review helps someone else.
I ordered 12 LONG since the pants are shorter than normal. I'm 5.10 and tried the classic length at the store in 2 sizes.. 10 and 12. All the sales staff assisting immediately agreed I needed the longer length. I wanted the beyond the pine (green) color so been stalking the app. Trust the people ...who work in the order fulfillment to send me the wrong size. I received a 12. For those saying to size down, my true size 10 fit better in the waist. I ordered the 12 Long because that's the only size available in the green in the long at the time. Well too bad for me regardless. I'm not sure why I still shop at banana republic because it never ceases. Sending me the wrong items. Gotta make another trip to the store. I'm tired!

gap.comI love these pants, but they won't work for everyone. I'm 5'3, 116lbs, 26" waist in jeans and a 4 regular fits perfect. No hemming required. I have the Sienna wide leg wool pants in a 00 so had to keep sizing up with these. Because I'm short, I like a very high rise to make my legs look longer. I would say these have about a 13" rise and sit above my bellybutton.

gap.comI don't recommend these cords. The fit is odd; the pants are fine over the hips, but the waist band is too big and the button and other closures seem to be poorly placed on the pants. Also, the cords would be more flattering if the corduroy was finer and the silhouette sleeker. I u

These pants are simply beautiful. The burgundy color is so rich, the fabric is of a decent quality, and the cut is very elegant, feminine, and flattering. It's actually my second pair as I have the dark green ones (also a rich, deep color) too. I'm so happy Banana Republic is back to making beautifully cut, good quality pieces again! #sweepstakes

gap.comI read the reviews before deciding to give it a try. I have bought a similar pair two years ago and It's been my favourite pants. This pair is not going to be my favourite. The cut is strange around the waist and hips: my statue is average proportion, but I feel the pants too tight around my buttocks. When i put the pants on, there's a little extra flab of fabric just below the waist and above the back pockets. The cut looks so weird and unflattering that I feel like remaking this into a A-line skirt. Very disappointed.

Absolutely love these cords! Purchased 3 colours - the green is my favourite, as it's a deep, rich shade. Perfect length for my 5',5", 120 lb. frame. Waist is quite snug, which is why I rated a 4 rather than 5.

The fit of these pants is really nice other than the ratio between the wait and hips not being quite right, which is common for me when wearing off the rack pants. Love the wide legs and soft fabric. I often have to hem my regular inseam purchases (I usually wear about a 31 inch inseam), but these were the perfect length already. Like many girls with wide hips, I do sometimes have issues with the fit of the waist—for me, the hips are very fitted, but the waist is a bit baggy. #sweepstakes

Love the fabric, wide leg styling but not the sizing or length. Based on reviews, I ordered these in both one and two sizes up from my normal size and both were too small in the waist. I'm 5'9" and purchased long. I don't have long legs and the pants were barely past my ankle with flats on. Unfortunately, had to return both pairs.
