It's a cut top, soft cotton material. I did find it too puffy in the back for me, especially when walking, the bottom band keeps going up.

This little top is so cute! Have rec'd many complijents. I'm 5'3" 120lbs and I did a small in the green. As previous reviews mentioned the band is a little tight. It is but dont mind the fit as it keeps in place, doesn't ride up.
