I purchased both the black leather and brown suede belt. The brown one is soft and supple and the color is a dark brown that goes with almost everything. It seems well made and somewhat good quality. I am keeping it because I will get enough wear from it. The black one has a few scratches/flaws ...that are very noticeable because of the smooth leather. The back side is very rough and snagged on my sweater when I turned it around after buckling it. It feels like it could snap if folded the wrong way. I don't like the quality of the black belt and it is going back.
I had to chat. Wasted 45 minutes to be told that they could not give me the difference off. So in my mind Banana republic is playing bait and switch games. High priced final sale, different sale prices in different areas. It's time I go elsewhere. Retail practices are getting slimy

The belt is gorgeous, but did you send me size M with XL label attached? It doesn't make it longer. Very disappointing
