I wear polos to work when not wearing short sleeve button-ups. This fits the situation nicely as it is semi-dressy and keeps me cool when the temps rise. It is both comfy and hangs really well. I wear them with shorts out to dinner at times, with khakis at the office and can wear with jeans if I had... to. Be sure to wash and dry twice for it to fit well and shrink up to its potential. I am 5 foot 7 and weigh 147. The medium fits well, just a little loose to keep cool. I WILL shrink so be sure to hang dry if you like it to fit as it came from BR. To BR: don't shy away from striped polos, I get the most compliments from these at work.
I do like these polos for the fit and feel. The biggest drawback is how easily they wrinkle, especially if you sit down. You will get set in creases. I lay out to dry, steam, and starch these before wearing to lessen the wrinkles but that only helps a little. The whole bottom half of the shirt is a ...mess by the time I get to work or wherever I'm going. I get 100% cotton is a wrinkle prone fabric but I've also had 100% cotton shirts that don't wrinkle like these do so maybe figure out what other brands are doing or add just bit of synthetic fiber for wrinkle resistance. Then these would be excellent.

Bought 5 of these in various colors. As mentioned in some of the other comments, this year's version is flawed - the fabric used to finish the end of the sleeves curls after the first washing, rendering the short unwearable. This came as a bad surprise, as I had bought the same product last year, but it came with much better trim fabric. I didn't start wearing the 5 new shirts this year until after the return window had closed, so all 5 are now at a Goodwill store. Needless to say, I'm done with Banana Republic - my experience was completely unacceptable.

I ordered this in a medium/tall and the fit was fantastic. It was the best fitting polo I've ever purchased. It's important to know that the medium/tall from BR is a completely different fit than the medium/tall from BR Factory, which is much boxier. #sweepstakes

Great material, although I think the fabric for polo shirt could benefit from a bit more structure or stiffness. These are very soft and comfortable since they're the same fabric as the lux touch t shirts. These arm bands fold after wash and dry, so a bit annoying but overall, good stuff.
