The material is nice and I like the cut of the pants, maybe would like a little less taper for a more classic look but I'll just tailor the length to have no break and will look fine. It's the fact that there is 1. No extra fabric so having them let out is not an option, and 2. there is no waistband... seam so taking them in does not appear to be an option either. I'll have to ask the tailor since I've never seen this before on suit pants. Even the cheap suit pants I purchased from BR Factory have a waistband seam. For me, those two things are another example of the slide of BR, either they're just chasing slack producers or they are trying to mile every last penny of profit by cutting corners. I'm 6'1", 179 pounds. On sizing, I used to wear a 32 waist, then age (53) added some weight and shifted it so now I'm more typically a 33. I purchased and returned these pants about 10 months ago in 33 and remember them fitting quite well, not in any way tight. Now the 33 is quite snug and I'm pretty sure the 34 is the one I'll keep. I also have the Core Temp suit in the same fit and the 33 pants in those are pretty much a perfect fit, maybe slightly loose. I think we've all grown tired of the inconsistent fit of BR pants. Nonetheless, because I had bought the vest separate awhile back, and the sale price was decent for the pants and jacket (which fits well, maybe a tad large for a 40 but helps when wearing the vest), I'll be keeping them, going with the looser size pants, and either wearing a belt or adding buttons for braces if I loose weight. It does look good as a three piece, no doubt about it, and that's what I wanted.
