I purchased the olive green version in a petite small. The olive color is on the darker side and the brown is a nice warm chocolate brown. It does not lean purple. Beautiful! This coat It is slightly oversized for my body type. I am 5'1, 130 lbs, and 61 yrs old. Most of my weight is in the midsectio...n now. Its roomy enough to layer over sweaters without feeling to tight. You can dress it up or wear it casually. I feel very put together either way. It's warm enough but wouldn't wear out in very cold weather for an extended period of time. My only gripe is that the petite size isn't available in all of the colors like the regular size. I can't understand why they don't offer it in black petite. I would buy it in a heartbeat!
I really want to love this coat. I am 5'2" 125 lbs. The petite small seemed huge. Now the petite XS seems a bit tight around my hips. The petite does not seemed sized for petite. The bottom of coat hangs at least halfway down my shins. And the bottom button fits exactly around the tightest part of m...y hips. The photos show sleeves folded up, but this makes the sleeves much too short. Kind of seems like the petite coat only has shorter sleeves, but the body of the coat was not adjusted to fit a shorter person. Want to like it because I love the stripes, but really doesn't fit great. I saw another review that mentioned mild itchiness with the wool, and I have to agree.

Perfect top coat for chilly days, not too light but not too heavy/bulky neither. We have foggy summers where I live and I usually require a coat so this is perfect. It adds a nice pop of color to my outfit. I usually wear S/M depending on the style. This piece I purchased it in small and I have enough room to wear layers with it. Highly recommended if you're looking for that top coat that gives effortless chic look.

This coat is very pretty. It's lined with the reversible side. It's not terribly heavy but will get me through a good deal of the Midwestern winter if I layer underneath. The quality is fairly good for Banana R, however I wouldn't say it's their finest. I like the way if fits, not quite as slouchy and oversized as I was concerned it might be. I am generally between an XS and a S, and I ordered an XS

I really wanted to love this coat. My first order, they sent the wrong coat. The second order was the right style but turned out to not be so great. I needed a versatile, dressier coat that could also work for everyday events but this was not a good option for me. I'm fuller busted and the coat seemed to become significantly more narrow in the hips and lower part of the coat. Also the buttons hit me in a weird place on the torso. This coat only seems to fit a certain body type really well. It just wasn't a flattering look. I hate that I had to send it back a second time but back it goes.

gap.comI purchased the olive green/brown double faced coat in M petite. The size is perfect for my 5'1 140lb frame; I love the style and it allows ample room for a bulky sweater to be worn underneath . Sadly the quality is poor, thin material, preventing the garment from falling nicely. This is not what I have come to expect from BR. I would return it for a store credit, however it's final sale.
