This was my favorite sweater for the first 2 weeks until I washed it. The half-zip shrank 3 sizes and effectively became a crop top on me and would not stretch back to its original size. Very dissappointed in this product. Simply cold washed and air dried it. Had to give it away after the first wash...

Unfortunately this sweater shrank dramatically after just one wash, despite following the care instructions exactly. It went from fitting normally to at least four sizes smaller and completely unwearable. Really disappointed in the quality and banana republic will not refund.

I purchased this sweater for my college-age son as a gift. The color is gorgeous - almost chocolate brown. I have purchased two other ones for my other son, in different colors, and they both look fantastic. It seems to be true to size. The only negative that I can comment after owning the other two is that the merino snags easily, so be careful with watches, bracelets, and zippers when wearing it. #sweepstakes
