This item is definitely not for every girl. Specifically, those of us who are blessed with hips. The elastic band that sits below the waist, while walking, does not stay in place. Instead, it moves/shifts and creates a very unflattering silhouette around the hips and bulge of fabric in the rear. The... execution of this piece was clearly created with all of the hip-less wonders in mind. Great fabric, great length but terrible fit for a girl like me!

…and I will not discount anyone's experience with this dress, but I am sooo happy I got it! For ME, everything was perfect. The fit is exactly as is on the model; for reference: I am 5'8 inches 140 lbs (straight) w/34D bust.

This dress is akin to software released too early for testing by its users. Agree with other reviewers' comments about the double elastic emphasizing the belly and noisy fabric. To keep things airy in hot weather, I'd wear it with nipple covers or a stick-on bra, not a full strapless bra. The concept is lovely. Maybe BR will release a V2 next year.

The pattern is beautiful, but for the price the fabric is loud , there's no lining ,and there's an odd elastic band about 10" below the upper waistband that hits strangely on the hips. It makes the fabric bulge, like one person said emphasizing my tummy like I'm pregnant…and I'm a smaller person. The chest area a too much material also. Just not a flattering dress on me especially for the price .
