These are my favorite pants right now. I have them in black, navy, and now green. They are comfortable and look stylish. They can look professional or be dressed down. They hold their shape all day and have a nice slimming look. The rise of the waist, length of the legs, and width of the pants are j...ust right. I can tuck in a shirt all the way or as a side tuck, or wear any size sweater (fitted or oversized) or blazer with them. These pants style well with many different looks. For sizing, I got my usual BR size for pants - size 4 regular. I'm 5'4" and about 130 lbs.
These Straight Sloans are immensely flattering in cut and fit. I had to return mine because the fabric is the kind that literally pulls lint and hair our of the air - I took them out of the bag, tried them on, went 'wow, these are great, I'm keeping them', and when I took them off (I never sat down,... mind you), they were already showing fine white bits of lint and detritus, which were not there when they came out of the bag. These are such nice pants that a fabric with a different finish - just as solid, but not as 'sticky' would make them amazing. In these dark washes, you will need to have a sticky roller within reach at all times.

Great quality fabric, the weave has the perfect stretch. Flattering placement of the pockets, and they are proper deep pockets! The waist sits true to my mid-rise. Usually when pants fit the thighs, the waist is up to 3 inches too big, but these pants are perfect for my figure and I won't have to mend them at all. It's rare that I find -Fit, Ready to Wear Slacks. Thanks again buyers for Banana Republic. Great Job!

Why do your tall size stop at 12? I have purchased about 20 pairs of Sloans over the last 10 years—the very best pants for work/casual—but they do shrink over time and I like to size up to a 14. I am 5'11" and need the length—-what is the reason you stop at 12 for the Tall sizes?

This is my favorite pant from BR. It has just enough stretch that its comfortable at work, and I even dance Tango in them, but they never get out of shape and they look much dressier than they feel. I also appreciate that the waist is not extremely drawn in so they are comfortable to sit in yet don't need a belt to stay in place. Its really genius fabric. I wish they would make more colors/patterns and keep this is stock more consistently. Runs a pinch small and holds its shape, so order up if you're in between BR sizes.
