I will admit, I'm new to shopping Banana Republic but sizing on everything has been off for me. This dress in particular, I got a size 8R, in the orange color. Beautiful color, great quality material but under my ribcage was so tight and I'm usually in between a size 6 and 8 for numeric dress sizes.... Had the same issue with another dress I bought from here. Would recommend sizing up at least one size.
The skirt portion of this dress needed a lining. The viscose-linen wrinkles and with dresses it shows much more. The waistband area was tight and it impeded my breathing and movement. It wasn't sewn to measurements for the corresponding size. I couldn't envision wearing this dress for longer tha...n 15 mins. I had to return. The orange color was beautiful. Please redesign and bring back. The lilac/pinkish color was beautiful as well.

It's a cute dress. The fabric is cool and lightweight, which I really like. I'm 5'3" and usually wear a size 4, and it's a little loose in the bust, which is fine. I'm only not giving it 5 stars because it's not the expected length; it falls about an inch above my ankle.

I'm 5'4 and glad I bought the petite size. Regular sizing would've been too big. The sleeves are a bit too puffy for me. I'll have to sew them in a bit to make the dress wearable. It was a final sale product and not returnable.
