As someone with a shorter waist I was pleasantly surprised to have these not hang or bunch in the crotch when I sit. The upper thighs are a bit baggy and the pockets below my bum, however they are my favorite fitting jean in years!!! - even if they're not perfect. They're soft and feel like the je...ans I loved in the 90s. Modifications that would make them better for my 5'6" short torso, slim hipped frame would be higher or smaller pockets in the back so your rear looked nicer and a touch slimmer in the upper thigh. Either way, I'm going back for the other colors. I did size down from my usual 28 to a 27 and that was 100% the right call. If your hips are wider stick with usual size, if not size down for a closer fit.
These jeans fit beautifully when initially put on, BUT continued to stretch as the day wore on until they became about 2 sizes bigger. They overstretched in both the waist and hips, as well as the length - they were then falling off of me and dragging on the ground.

It's really hard to find jeans without stretch, and these being 99% cotton are absolutely perfect! I'm normally a 6/8 in BR pants and have these in both 28 and 29. They are just so easy to wear on the these gorgeous fall days with a sweater and some sneaks. Please keep making 100% cotton jeans!!! We need a cleaner world, and you've been a leader of this cause in this dirty fashion industry.

These are perfect Mid-Rise loose jeans. They are so comfortable and the denim is heavy enough to wear all through a cold winter and loose enough to wear in summertime too. I love these jeans and they look great with my Banana Republic cashmere sweaters.
