Bought 2 pairs last year. Took them to the tailor for length & added the button to the rear pocket. The pants will have that wrinkled look after washing but that is the nature of linen. Belt loops would be a good wish list. They can be used year around in warm & cool weather. They are breathable... and dry fast. Also loose fitting. I use them for everyday use. They are good for travel & hiking. I have been replacing plastic pants materials for hiking, including using linen shirts.instead of plastic hiking shirts . Linen is a great material. Breathable, controls temperature, fast drying, long lasting, stain resistant & good sun protection.
These pants are extremely comfortable, but the lack of an elastic waistband makes these unusable unless they are a perfect fit when you buy. I bought a small (size 30), and the waist is still huge. I have the italian linen pull-on pants and the drawstring actually works. I paid for tailoring alread...y so I can return, but buyer beware.

These certainly run big. Love the style and quality of the linen, details and all. Bumped down that I have to return. If the size I need become available, will definitely reorder in a size smaller.
