I pondered on buying this jacket since march 2024 and decided to finally buy it in early December and had a scare when it went out of stock and got FOMO. This was due to the listing even being taken down. I can say I have never been more satisfied with an apparel purchase than this. The comfort is s...uperior to its cow leather navy blue counter part due to softness and an interior Lining. The color is just the right shade which gives you versatility in how you pair it with your bottoms. If you ever get the chance after trying it on a feeling a sense of ecstasy; buy it. If you can get the discount through the BR credit card even better. Truly a timeless classic.
I really like this jacket, and have worn it for a year. However, when I sent it to a professional leather cleaner, they called me back and said they have seen jackets like this, and the pockets MAY have glue in them (as opposed to stitches?) and that it MAY turn the pockets dark when heated. So I... called Banana Republic, emailed, and tried the customer service chat, and customer service gave me no answers, other than a guy on the phone who could only say to "trust the leather cleaner". Meaning, I have no way to clean it.

The suede on the jacket is great quality and overall the piece is well worth the price, the only critique some might have is the jacket is a little short for the length, but for this silhouette for a jacket it does make sense to have it a little shorter. Just thought I'd add that in though.

For the price I paid with BR CC (Card25 and 14DayPass stack) I'm impressed with the overall quality.The suede is double layered in the right places, hem/cuffs/pocket flaps/collar. The stitching is perfect. Made in Korea, definitely shows in the quality of the workmanship. The only issue is the other reviews say this a heavier coat. I see this more as a Fall/early Spring jacket. While the suede is substantial, the liner is thin. 5'8 190 pounds, XL fits nicely with or without a hoodie layered underneath.
