It's a "Tailored Slim Fit" but goodness, they're cut like a tailored ATHLETIC fit, and they're perfect for an athletic build if you size up by one. The fabric is opulent—drapes beautifully, and the faille/grossgrsin striping on the outseam is gently exquisite. The cut is not binding at ALL and I dare say to BR to keep this specific pattern and re-deploy it as a tailored athletic cut, but slide the sizing up where the 40 is a true 38 and a 42 is a true 40. Got this as a final sale for a steal and boy WAS IT!

But still worth it!

Beautiful fabric, well made, very good quality. The big issue is fit. The description says to order a size up, which I did, but had to exchange them for the correct size. The description on the website does not mention "more room in the seat", which is a comment that appears on the label of the pants... for that reason, they fit very weirdly, they are Slim Fit, but made for someone with a huge butt. I hope that BR never reuses this sewing pattern.

I love these tuxedo pants, very nicely made. I bought them to wear with the the orange velvet jacket, which i love, but i wish i had purchased the black shawl collar velvet jacket as well. Richard N

Well-proportioned, elegant cut, in a nice fabric. Side stripe is subtle, which I like -- after some experimentation, I found I could make these work well with items other than the matching jacket, like cardigans and a velvet shawl collar blazer. So, more versatile than some other tuxedo pants.
