I had been looking for a suit for my nephews wedding in November in Costa Rica on the beach. I wanted something elegant yet beach like that would match in any outcome of the day (church, dinner, dancing). My husband has great legs, great arms but a little belly so I needed something that would fit h...is body type. I ordered another suit from somewhere else and it was a total let down. Quality, color, style. So I was worried with this one. BUT!!!!! When we got the box, shipped before date, my husband tried it on and I failed to mention we have short people problems and it fit him perfectly. Like a glove. I could take it in at the sleeve possibly an half an inch but we're not. The Jacket is a beautiful color, exactly what I envisioned. It's soft and light weight although it's a great quality jacket. Details for where the brand tags, stitching and buttons are lovely. I don't think I have been this happy with a purchase in some time. Thank you BR! We will purchase again.
The listed size is not even close to the actual size. I ordered the light blue and green jackets and matching trousers. I'm 6' 1.5 " and 230 pounds. I'm in excellent shape and pump iron. 53 y/o former Marine. I live in Florida and have 12 other linen suits, mostly Ralph Lauren, and 3 bespoke suits. ...I literally live in linen. All my other suits are 46 jacket and 36 trousers and all fit perfectly. I opened the Banana Republic boxes and knew immediately there was an issue before even trying them on. I couldn't even button the trousers nor could I wear the jackets without fear of splitting them down the back. Off the cuff I'd say that I would need a "Banana Republic" sized "50" jacket and sized "40" trousers (which they don't offer) in order to fit. This was my first Banana Republic purchase and everything about it has been an absolute pleasure, from the web site, to the actual ordering, to the super fast shipping. If *only* they were made to true/indicated/listed size....(sigh). Naturally, I'm returning them, and to Banana Republic's credit, they've made that a super-easy process.

This coat is perfect for the fall. Is not heavy and the color goes with most dark and pastel pants. I had to take all the coats for fitting and this one the work is minimum.

I'm 5'8 ~160 (broad shoulders) and ordered a 40 short. The fit was extremely boxy and long on my torso (comes down to my mid thigh), and super strange in the armpits with a lot of extra fabric. I had to get this custom tailored and even then found the jacket way too long and boxy. Would not recommend and am sad as I hoped the tailor could fix it and can no longer return it / will likely never wear it. ALSO, the wrong jacket was shipped the first time.
