I normally wear a size 8 at Banana Republic. I bought this dress in a size 8. I loved the dress and the material. But I couldn't zip the dress. I exchanged for a size 10, and had the same issue. The dress cuts in the mid section.

I am 5'10" and the length of the dress was slightly above my ankle. However, I thought the length was perfect. I wore this dress to a wedding and received endless compliments. It's form fitting on top but loose and breezy on the bottom I will definitely wear this dress many times in the coming years.

Quality of the dress is there and it's just beautiful

The fabric is beautiful and the fit is perfect, BUT... that detail in front on the waist on the front of the dress did not look nice on me. It makes a bulge and it is not flattering. I wish that the flap was tucked in the waist band just like on the back of the dress. Still, I think it is worth to try and see if it looks good on you. If flows beautifully.

This is the perfect mother-of-the-bride dress for me — not matronly and not revealing. The fabric is lovely with a generous amount for the skirt, which falls nicely. I'm 5'4", 115 lbs. and short-waisted, so I ordered the 6 Petite. No alterations necessary.
